Skin cancer is the only thing we do.
Single-location, physician-owned, focused exclusively on skin cancer: screening, diagnosis, and treatment at Brownwood Square.
Most skin checks rely on memory. Ours don't.
Your baseline is documented. Every future scan is compared against it, so we evaluate what's changing, not what no one can remember.

When we photograph everything, nothing hides.
Canfield's VECTRA WB360 captures 92 pictures of your entire skin surface in about a second, so your clinician reviews a complete, comparable record with you the same day.

From the moment you walk in, a straightforward visit. No surprises, no rush.

Book and check in
No referral needed for most plans (select HMO plans, like Humana Medicare Advantage, require one). Medicare and most insurance accepted; we verify your coverage before you arrive. Plan about 45 minutes.
Total Body Photography
The scan takes about a second and creates a high-resolution baseline map of your skin.
A thorough full-body skin exam
Your clinician examines you head to toe in person. The imaging supports the exam, it doesn't replace it.
Close-up imaging for anything we're watching
If a spot is worth tracking, we capture high-resolution close-ups so it can be compared precisely at future visits.
Treatment, if needed
If something needs attention, we talk through your options and can often take care of it the same day.
Your report and baseline on file
You leave with a summary of any tracked lesions and the close-up images we captured, and every future scan is compared against today's baseline.

Frequently asked questions
- What makes a SpotDoc screening different?
- Skin cancer is all we do. Every visit pairs a thorough, head-to-toe exam by a board-certified dermatologist with Total Body Photography, which maps your skin so new or changing spots stand out at future visits. Detection and treatment happen under one roof.
- Does my insurance cover it?
- We accept Medicare and most major plans, including Aetna, Cigna, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Sunshine / WellCare, and MultiPlan. Coverage varies, so we verify your specific plan before your visit and explain any out-of-pocket cost. Medicare Advantage plans are often out of network; we'll confirm yours when you book.
- How long does a visit take?
- Plan on about 45 minutes. The Total Body Photography itself takes about a second; the rest is your full-body exam and a review of anything of note.
- Do I need a referral?
- Most patients don't. A few HMO plans, such as Humana Medicare Advantage, require one; we'll let you know when we verify your coverage. We recommend a skin check every year, especially with a history of skin cancer, family history, or significant sun exposure.
- Who will I see?
- Your visit is with Tyler Long, DO, a board-certified dermatologist, and Kim Nguyen, NP-C. Because skin cancer is our entire focus, you're seen by clinicians who look at this every day.
- What if something concerning is found?
- We discuss it with you right away. Depending on the spot, we may monitor it over time, take a biopsy, or begin treatment. When treatment is needed, most of it happens here in our office.
